GLOBAL VISION BIBLE CHURCH

"Where Broken People Find New Meaning To Life"

ABOUT US

BIBLICAL PREACHING

When it comes to preaching, we believe in taking our time. We unapologetically stand on the word-by-word and chapter-by-chapter teaching of the Bible. It is our desire to be loud where God is loud and silent where God is silent. Our congregation knows that we always pick up in the exact spot that we left off the previous week. We believe that this type of Bible teaching not only encourages growth but gives us a deeper understanding of the whole scope of Scripture.

EXTRAVAGANT GENEROSITY

Global Vision operates under one simple principle: You can’t out give God. When we say “extravagant” we truly mean it. We believe in living totally open-handed throughout our entire community. We support major mission outreaches around the world and we generously serve our entire community as often as we can.

RADICAL COMPASSION

Where Broken People Find New Meaning to Life is much more than a slogan at Global Vision. We endeavor to reach out to those who are hurting, marginalized, broken and in need of restoration. We have found that when we go after the people that nobody wants, the Lord sends us the people that everybody wants. Our entire congregation is known for being accepting, loving, gracious and forgiving.

What We Believe

(1) We believe the Bible is the perfect Word of God.
It is without error from beginning to end.The Bible is our sole Authority for faith and practice.

That will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and
seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:13-17)

(2) We believe that salvation is provided by Jesus Christ and Him alone.
It is through his death, burial and resurrection that men are saved from sin. It is the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin.Works and reli- gion cannot save in anyway. The Gospel is the power of God unto Sal- vation. Furthermore, we believe that Christ died for all men and upon the conviction of the Holy Spirit, the repentance of the heart and the confession of the mouth men are Born-Again of God’s Spirit.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:as it is written,The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:16)

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

(3) We believe in the eternal salvation of all believers.
Once a person trusts in Christ, they are forever kept by the power of God and can never be lost. Salvation is truly everlasting life. However, those who have trusted Christ are His and will obey Him and HisWord. We do not believe a person can live any way they so desire and be saved. The Bible dogmatically declares that a person will be a new creature in Christ.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.( John 10:27-30)

(4) We believe in the Bible doctrine of the Trinity.
We believe in one God, co-existing in three persons:The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is the father who planned our salvation, his Son Jesus who provided our forgiveness and the Spirit of God who seals our state before God. Furthermore, at the moment of salvation we receive all of God’s Spirit. We do not get more of God, rather we must surrender more of ourselves to him on a daily basis.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:and these three are one. (1 John 5:7)

(5) We believe that the local New Testament Church is God’s ordained institution.
It is through individual bodies of believers that the Great Commission is carried on throughout the world.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles ‘doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul:and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. (Acts 2:41-47)

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20 )

(6) We believe that Baptism is a fundamental step of obedience in our walk with Christ.
While it doesn’t provide any redemptive merit, it does identify us as followers of Christ and places us in submission to God’s will.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.(Acts 2:38)

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were bap- tized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. (Romans 6:3-5)
